So, you're in the lash extension business... you have a Facebook page, some business cards, and you've done a few lash extension sets for a handful of clients. Then something happens... and it almost catches you by surprise. You have that moment when you realize that THIS is IT. Providing eyelashes to make clients look and feel beautiful is what you want to do for a career. THIS industry is your career path - the place you want to call home.
Where to Next?
This was my story just over two years ago. I was hungry for the industry, I had got the lash bug and I wanted to lash anyone and everyone all the time. Have you been there too? I wanted to know what I needed to do to get more clients. How do I grow? How do I let more people know that this is what I do? How do I get more appointments? How do I stay booked?
I had so many unanswered questions, I sought out local stylists for help and inspiration. When all of my questions were returned with crickets, I turned the other cheek and ventured further online. Armed with over a decade of online marketing experience, US Navy training, many failed business attempts and a marketing degree under my belt, I knew I could make this work. I took to Instagram to share what was working for me, and what was not. I asked lots of questions to connect with other stylists, and learned as much as I could.
Sharing the Love
Within 12 months, I had almost quadrupled my lash and brow business from my online and offline marketing efforts. From this experience, it only seemed fair to share what has worked for me, what has not, and how you can use this information in your lash business too.
I'm super excited to share with you some valuable online marketing strategies and tools that I am using, and have used, to grow my lash and brow business - particularly the platforms I love, like Google + and Pinterest, to name a couple. This new Glad Lash series, Get Visible - Online Marketing for Lash Business Success, will include practical, up-to-date, and most importantly honest advice about what has and hasn't worked for me. And, of course I'm looking forward to getting to know your stories too. Stay tuned...
