You may have seen before and after pictures all over social media of women with fuller, practically perfect looking eyebrows and wondering, "What is that?" Or your clients may be asking, "How did they get their brows like that?"
Well, it's called 3D Microblading, and whether or not you are considering offering 3D microblading to your clientele or are interested in getting the service done for yourself, here are a few frequently asked questions that people want to know.
1. What is 3D Eyebrow Microblading?
It is a fairly new and innovative semi- permanent make-up tattoo for eyebrows. Known as 3D microblading, eyebrow embroidery or feather strokes, this technique is done by creating natural looking hair-like strokes. It is done by using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the epidermis with a manual tool.
2. How Long Does it Last?
3D microblading brows will last about one year and possibly up to 18 months.
3. How Long Does the Procedure Take?
On average the procedure takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours. During this time, consent forms will need to be filled out. The majority of the time is needed in creating or correcting a proper shape. Numbing cream is also applied and will need time to take effect.
4. Does it Hurt?
Everyone's threshold of pain is different so you may feel completely relaxed or you may feel a slight discomfort. Numbing cream is used as well as a topical anesthetic and it does help.
5. How Much Does it Cost?
The cost of 3D microblading can range anywhere from $300-$800 depending on city or location.
