In an eyelash world all about mega volume, I wanted to take the time to discuss the pros and cons of handmade vs pre-made volume fans. While each client/service can call for different lashes, it’s worth looking at both methods. More so, not everyone has the patience needed to learn to make handmade fans, even after plenty of practice. Let's also take a look at rapid fans!
Skill level: Advanced.
Skill level: Beginner.
(Choose your resource of pre-mades wisely)
Skill level: Intermediate. Rapid Lashes (sometimes called easy fans) combines the best of both worlds. They are not as difficult to make and apply as handmade fans, which means less time creating and applying them. They can be offered then to the customer for less. Retention is just as good as hand made fans since they can wrap around the natural lash just like handmade fans and there are plenty of options to customize the look. Here at GladGirl, the Rapids are currently the most popular type of lashes for making volume fans. Many lash artists who were using regular lashes for making handmade fans have switched to Rapids.

Getting lash extensions should feel like a luxury, but dealing with mysterious redness, itching, or swelling can quickly turn the experience stressful.
