With more than a decade of professional esthetics experience, Yang brings a distinctive blend of Eastern wellness principles, advanced skincare techniques, and refined lash artistry to the GladGirl community. Her calm, nurturing approach to beauty perfectly embodies the GladGirl philosophy: empowering women through education, artistry, and self-care.
Yang’s journey began in her hometown of Huanjiang, Hechi, China, where she learned that true beauty starts with balance — between body, mind, and spirit.

These values formed the foundation for Yang’s lifelong commitment to holistic beauty. From a small village upbringing to becoming a successful esthetician and educator in the United States, her story is one of purpose, persistence, and passion.
More than ten years ago, Yang was personally trained by GladGirl Founder, Esther Bolkin, in the art of eyelash extensions. Esther’s pioneering techniques and heartfelt mentorship made a lasting impression — shaping the way Yang viewed both beauty and professionalism in the lash industry.
That early connection with Esther and the GladGirl brand was so meaningful that when Yang opened her own studio years later, she chose the name Glad Beauty Studio as a tribute to where it all began.
“It was Esther who first taught me how to do lash extensions,” Yang recalls. “Her kindness and dedication to her students inspired me so deeply — I wanted my business to carry the same spirit of joy, excellence, and care that GladGirl represents.”

We’re proud to share that Yang Musselman is now officially certified to teach the GladGirl® Classic Eyelash Extension Course, having completed her training directly under Shannique Austin, GladGirl’s Head of Education.
This certification marks an exciting new chapter in Yang’s professional journey, expanding her role from esthetician to educator. During her intensive hands-on training, Yang refined her classic lash techniques, mastered GladGirl’s proprietary product systems, and learned how to mentor students using the GladGirl Education Method — a balance of artistry, precision, and safety.
With her new certification, Yang will be teaching GladGirl Classic Eyelash Extension classes in Lancaster, PA, helping both new and experienced lash artists develop the technical and creative skills needed to succeed in this fast-growing field.
“Training with Shannique was inspiring,” Yang says. “She reminded me that teaching is not just about lashes — it’s about helping others build confidence and careers.”
When asked why she wanted to become a GladGirl Trainer, Yang’s answer was immediate: “Because I believe in sharing beauty, not keeping it to myself.”
