The world of beauty thinks ahead. We may be mid-winter, but the beauty brains have already announced the 2014 Spring Makeup Trends! Get out your pencils and take notes…you’ll want to have these tips handy for some must-have beauty buys.

Luscious Lips

Lips on the runways of Spring Fashion Week 2014 were full, pouty, and…wait for it…orange! And not a subtle orange, although that’s entirely trending, but bold tangerine shout outs! Although corals and oranges tend to look best on warmer skin tones, the look is so in it’s truly appropriate for all. Fair-skinned beauties might want to go for a rose-colored coral, unless you’d prefer to amplify the ivory in your skin. Pink takes a backseat to berry this spring, but not so much bold berry as soft berry. Keep lips light and kissable with a brush of berry. The pop of color looks extra radiant on a neutral backdrop of minimal makeup. If you must add more color, sweep some chartreuse on your eyelids…lime green makes quite the statement this spring!

Electric Eyes

Eyes are not to be ignored this coming season. Makeup artists are getting sassy with washes of blue from lashline to crease. Nostalgic for the 70s? Experiment with bold, electric blues with a metallic tint. If you’d rather keep it classy, opt for some light powered hues to bring out your baby blues. Cat-eyes are the go-to for a night out on the town this spring. Keep your cat lines thin, and top off with a dusting of gold for some extra pizzazz. When sporting cat eyes, it’s best to keep the lips neutral…a soft, petal pink is perfection. You can also get a little dirty by smudging kohl black eyeliner for a sultry look. Metallic gold lids offer up a fun, seasonal treat…the perfect complement to a sexy, spring affair! Bring it down a bit by brightening your eyes with shimmering iridescents and pastel pinks. And while you’re at it, add a last minute glow to your skin with an illuminating powder or cream. Rim the corner of your eyes with white eyeliner to make them look bigger. Of course, the most effective way to make your eyes pop is with some Glad Lash extensions for extra length and volume!
