In a world where a car can drive itself and a 3D printer creates anything you can dream up, I started thinking about the future of makeup and what that may look like. As we have started to see, some makeup trends have been pretty outlandish....You remember the LED lashes, right? Just to name one!
I believe that in the future a series of beauty bots will be created to feed our need for instant gratification and selfie readiness. This "bot" will be able to stay up-to-date with the latest and most hip makeup tips. The bot will:
Have facial recognition to better help you decide which looks work best, according to your features.
Be able to show you on their screen what you will look like with a particular beauty look.
Give you suggestions for your day or evening ahead, according to what you are wearing or what event you have scheduled.
Then, the best part....You put your face into a non-threatening chamber that plays music of your choice, piped in from your phone, and the chosen makeup application is applied to your face! The process will only take about 10-15 minutes.
It basically will be your best friend WITH benefits! Oh, and the beauty bot will be able to give you fierce compliments when finished! As if we could overlook this great addition!
More Perks to your Bot
Beauty bots will be able to connect with your Amazon or Sephora accounts to order products you fall in love with on a simple vocal command. They will notify you if something is on sale or if one of your beauty influencers has posted anything new to their social media pages. You will also be able to connect with friends that have the same beauty bot as you! This is a no brainer!!It meshes all the different beauty apps together, and it gives you a sense of empowerment and freedom to choose how you 'FACE' your day!
Of course, my beauty bot might be named Channing Tatum, but don't judge! LOL :) What do you think the makeup game will be like in the future? Would there be different bots, like a makeup only bot? A lash bot? A hair bot? Or something more all-inclusive? Let us know what you think! We love to hear from you.
