Make It Up Monday - Your Fuss Free Nighttime Routine For Maximum Lash Care When You Sleep

Sleep on satin for eyelash extensions aftercare

You have had a long day and you can't wait to catch some Zzzzs. But, you also have lash extensions and you have to take care of them, right? So what does this look like when all you want to do is sleep? Sleepy time is in your grasp, right after you...

1. Remove Makeup

Your nighttime routine starts with taking off your makeup and washing your face (even if you don't quite do this every night, let's pretend you do). But, when you have extensions you have to really CARE for them as well to make sure they stay in place and in tact!

2. Wash Lashes

OK, this one doesn't have to be an "every day" task, but can be done every 2-3 days depending on you! GladGirl's Wash and Wink Shampoo is a gentle cleanser that is oil free and safe to use around the eye area. Take an Eyelash Cleansing Brush, like the one from GladGirl with synthetic hairs, and wash from the base to the tip of the lash. This product, and step in your nighttime routine, is very important for the longevity of your lashes. This process does not breakdown the bond, but maintains it. An added bonus is that you can really use this on your natural lashes as well, not just extensions!
Wash and Wink Shampoo It's foaming, a 2-1 shampoo & conditioner, and gentle enough for daily use! Now there's no excuse for not keeping those lashes fresh on the daily, Lash Lovers!

3. The Right Sleepwear/Bedding

Now you can lay your head down to rest, but wait... do you have a satin pillowcase? This is not only something that will help your lashes stay in place but will also help stop hairs from falling out of your head! It is a proven fact that when sleeping on cotton pillowcases, friction when you move causes hairs to fall out. So, why wouldn't you want to use a luxurious satin pillowcase to lay your head onto at night?!? Or, try a 3D sleep mask for the ultimate in lash care!
Try this satin pillow case for better lash retention and a touch of luxury.
These 3 quick steps can really change your lash life and are truly no brainers! There is minimal cost involved and you will not regret it. If you are spending the time and money on lash extensions, increasing the longevity of them is a priority. Here's to YOU, sleeping beauties!
