We have been seeing lashes with so much texture lately. Wispy, full and fluffy! It’s a look that is growing in popularity. We should give a shout out to those fantastic make up and lash artists from small salons to Hollywood. Lashes are everywhere and clients are bringing in photos of their favorite looks. It can be a challenge for some of us to pull off.
Volume Trained?
If you are volume trained, it will be a lot easier to create. Lash artists are using up to six different lash lengths and several different diameters to create the look of spiky, full lashes. If your clients aren’t fond of the spiky look, there is the full on baby doll look. That full, solid, lash line that is so tight it looks like a baby doll.
There are looks that can use a combination of classic one on one lash application. Or a set of hybrid lashes which consists of classic one on one and volume. To create a strip lash or textured lash look you can use lash lengths of 6mm to 13mm staggering the lengths and using diameters of .10mm, 12mm or .15mm. Using these lashes, you can add a few shorter lashes and next to them add a few longer lashes and for spikes, add some drama with the longest lashes sporadically throughout your set. It’s pretty, it’s trending and it’s fresh.
Not Volume Trained?
If you are not Volume trained there are some new items in the market that can give your lashing a boost.
When I’m in a hurry, or my volume fans aren’t fanning, there are Rapid Fans. These are self fanning lashes. They can definitely help get you through a set. These lashes are nice for filling in at the end of a set for a bit more fullness. They are not heat bonded, they are held together gently at the base and are easy to fan and they release from the strip with ease. I recommend trying them out, they are a good go to if you need that volume look!
There are also extensions that are mixed lengths (such as 7mm-14mm) right off the application tray. These are my absolute favorite for creating that textured lash that is so popular.

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
