I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous new year.
Most of us look forward to starting a new year. We worked hard in the past year, faced challenges, had victories, made new friends, lost some friends and just rolled through the year.
Now, I’m not one who is big on resolutions. They start out great and usually end in a sputter, leaving me feeling more defeated because I didn’t complete a task.
So, no more resolutions for me. I do, however, plan.
Plan Your Way to Success
I plan for my business, I plan my schedule for the year.
I plan out my vacation, my training schedule, my client schedule. I plan on what education I will be attending and I add in important family time, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc.
Being prepared for the upcoming year can help keep you organized and goal oriented. Knowing where you want to take your business and life is the first step in becoming successful. The first day of the new year is my day to get this process started.
Prioritize Your Planning
After the celebrations releasing the old year and all it had to offer, I sit down with my calendar and plan my vacation first. I schedule that time off and make it non-negotiable. We all need some downtime, and staying firm on the vacation helps recharge my energy.
Second, I plan all-important family time. Birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings – they all go on the calendar first.
After I have added all those dates, I then take a fresh look at my client schedule. Are the hours working for me? Do I have downtime? If so, how do I make those hours more productive?
I run reports from my scheduling software and evaluate my business numbers. What services are the most popular? Which services are the most profitable? How can I make my business the place I love to go 5 days a week?
Out with the Old, in with the New
So, in conclusion, take a few minutes, review your past year, accept the facts, turn to the new year and create the business you love.
Let me know how you have decided to start your new year! Have a Happy New Year and let me know what your plans are for 2019!

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
