Over the years I have tried many many products – some were amazing and many were a bust. Last year, I wrote about my junk drawer full of purchased products that I barely used. But today, I want to go over the things that have helped me in my lash applications, along with some other little things that make my day go smoother. The following is a list of products and tools you will find me using every day during lash applications!
1. Tweezers
My tweezer collection consists of very pointy application tools and isolation tweezers. I have 4 volume tweezers with different foot configurations.
2. Tape
My collection of tape is important for my clients. Nexcare sensitive is my absolute favorite for very stiff lower lash protection. Micropore medical tape is also a must for those sensitive to the gel in the under eye gel pads. A good old frosted scotch tape is my go-to for keeping the top lashes from sticking to the gel pads. I put it over the gel pad and use regular paper or sensitive tape.
3. Gel Pads
Mini gel pads are top on my list of must-haves for lashing. These little gems are perfect for close-set eyes, high cheekbones or when you just need less gel pad. They have less bulk and are easy to get in the eye area due to size and flexibility.
4. Scissors
I have two pairs of scissors that I just can’t live without. One pair is super tiny with a pointy tip. I use it for multiple purposes including freeing the glue tip if needed. My other favorite is a heavier scissor with a 3-inch blade. I use it to cut gel pads, lash strips, and tape.
5. Tape Dispenser
My final favorite must-have is a weighted tape dispenser. It’s much easier to grab a quick piece of the tape during the service. This can be done with one hand. And that's my list of products I use for my lash applications. Let us know what things you just can’t work without! A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
