Have you ever wondered how some women have amazing lashes that just stand out? Aside from false lashes and lash extensions, they are probably taking a few extra steps daily to get that growth. Today I’m going to share a few tips and secrets on how to get naturally longer and thicker lashes and help extend the life of your false lashes.
1. Keep Your Natural Lashes Healthy
One of the first things to remember is that our lashes, like our hair, is constantly growing. It is important to care for your lashes like you care for your hair. When removing makeup try using something that's specifically meant for the eyes like Wash and Wink. It’s really gentle and meant to break down makeup quickly and easily. I like to use two different types of lash serums to give my lashes (and brows) a little push. The Lash and Brow Booster and Care Balm both have caster oil in the formula to help encourage growth. Using them daily will help speed up the growth of the lashes, especially when used in tandem.
2. Clean Your Falsies
The best way to get longevity on your false lashes is to make sure you’re taking time after wearing them to clean them. An added benefit is they are ready to go and look brand new in the box. The first step is to remove them from your lashes.I like to put them back onto the white tray that they come with. Pump four to five pumps of the Wash and Wink into a small dish and place them into the shampoo. This remover is gentle on the lashes while still working hard at breaking down any mascara or adhesive. Let it sit for five minutes then remove the lash. I like to use a paper towel over a tissue because the texture makes the glue come off a little bit quicker. Use a cotton bud to gently roll off the glue and adhesive.
3. Store them Properly
Once the lash is clean, pat dry and place back into the original box and tray- It’s important to hang on to the box since it has a custom curve that will help reshape the lash. Push the lash back into its original position and you’re good to go on your next wear!
