Are you an envious lash artist? Are you passionate, and enjoy viewing other artists' work on social media? Are you checking out those beautiful photos that get posted? You know, the ones that have been edited, filtered, and polished to perfection... Truthfully, the vast majority of lash professionals, who grind it out every day at their own business, don't have the time or resources to produce seamless digital content. If you want to up your online presence, check out these time-saving and easy tricks for creating savvy snaps for your social media.

You're Not Alone

Let's address the envious lash artist. I just happen to be one of those passionate lashers. I will be totally honest, my lash work is a little above average... I am not a Lash Superstar. I will never reach "Superstar" status. Frankly, that doesn't bother me. I love my clients, and will continue to do my very best. I am envious though. I want to be that lash artist! I want my work to invoke pleasing comments from others. But, I have had to accept the fact that there will always be others who shine brighter, and their work is absolute perfection. I find myself daydreaming about winning the trophy for Best Lash Artist! I envision myself humbly accepting the award, surrounded by my peers who are honoring me and my work. And, when I view other professionals' work on social media, I wish it was my work that was getting the kudos from my fellow lashers. It is a challenge to not be envious, but don't lose confidence by comparing yourself to anyone else. The Artist Directory - Join the only business directory dedicated to lash and brow artists

Kicking the Habit

When you really want something, there is so much work that goes into your dream. You can't think yourself into perfect work... You have to practice, use great products, have willing clients, and most importantly, you must have sincere dedication to your craft. Even with dedication, you still may not reach that superstar status. It's OK. As long as your clients think you are a dedicated, honest, skilled lash artist, and you do your very best work, there is no room for envy. It really isn't a very productive feeling. Never give up on your dream, if that is your goal - practice makes perfect!
