This year's MET GALA did not disappoint! There was so much eye candy to look at. From over the top makeup looks to a style that could stop you in your tracks, an explosion of creativity was painted on the red carpet! Let's talk about some of these show-stopping red carpet looks!

2019 Met Gala Theme

Before we begin, I want to emphasize what the theme was this year. Met Gala 2019 Theme:Camp: Notes on Fashion. No, not camp as in sleeping bags and tents, but camp as in exaggerated fashion. The exhibit is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay that defines camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration." As you can imagine, the sky is the limit when creating works of art with fashion, makeup, and hair channeling this definition of CAMP. Now that you know the backdrop to this event, let's get into some of the worthy moments we saw.

4 Gorgeous Looks – All on 1 Gaga

First and foremost, in my opinion, Lady Gaga blew this Met Gala out of the water with her looks. There are no words to appreciate fully what her team brought to the table for this night of fashion. From makeup to all 4 outfits, I am team Gaga all the way! She arrived at the red carpet in a massive hot pink gown. Then, she removed her cape and revealed an all-black dress with an umbrella. Then, when she removed her black dress, she had a sexy form-fitting hot pink dress with a cell phone purse. And last but not least, her 4th and final look was black lingerie! Absolutely beyond! Makeup-wise, her makeup artist Sarah Tanno collaborated with another makeup artist to create her sensational look! Gaga's lashes made a grand entrance in and of themselves. They were gold foil spikes at different lengths that surrounded her top and bottom lashes, which were paired with dramatic black and white-winged eyeliner and silver rhinestones to add an even more over the top vibe. They completed the look with the most perfect pink lip and hair! I died and went to makeup heaven with this insane look! https://www.instagram.com/p/BxK9JnXhbuq/

Billy Porter Becomes a Pharoh

Another highlight, in my opinion, was actor Billy Porter making his grand entrance to the red carpet dressed as a pharaoh and being carried by 6 shirtless men. Everyone guided in gold and more gold. Absolutely mesmerizing and full-on campy! https://www.instagram.com/p/BxJHN8rFp_D/

Lily Collins Dazzles us with Grace

Another notable moment Lily Collins red carpet look! She looked a bit like Priscilla Presley and Cher had a baby on the red carpet with her bouffant, bright lilac eyeshadow and intense lashes. With a headband and butterflies adorned in her hair, how can you not want to soak this all in?! https://www.instagram.com/p/BxS9NvwHNoG/

Ezra Miller's Eye-pealing Wonder

The last notable moment I want to share with you came from Ezra Miller. His makeup look will forever be imprinted in my brain. Makeup artist Mimi Choi wowed with her trippy illusionistic style makeup with several sets of eyes and lashes painted on his face to give you a wicked sense of the unnatural which was paired with a stunning red lip. Just an amazing transformation and tone on the red carpet. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxRdPBUAiP9/ There were so many interesting elements to the Met Gala! There are really no boundaries when you are talking about art. This is plain to see when the Met Gala comes into town. The effort and collaborations are stellar and to the next level. One of my most favorite aesthetically pleasing events of the year to see!
