Facial Waxing away unwanted hair from the lip, chin, and sides (cheek) of your face in minutes! Full Face includes all three locations.
Chin: Generally, chin hair is thicker and has stronger roots, which makes waxing a smart choice. While there are other methods for removing chin hair, waxing is especially beneficial here.
Lip: The more you wax, the less painful it becomes. That hard-to-reach hair around the mouth is no match for our Wax Specialists. Includes both upper and lower lip.
Cheek: Because cheek hair is fine and light, it can be difficult to remove. Facial waxing can help get every last pesky bit of facial fuzz. In fact, the more often you wax these areas, the finer that hair will come in time after time.
Before Your Wax Appointment
Wax Prep
CHECK YOURSELF
1. No matter where you're waxing, check the skin before you go in for your appointment. Broken skin or inflammation needs to heal before you're ready to wax. If you have moles or beauty marks, point them out to the esthetician so they can be protected during the waxing process.
LET IT GROW...BUT NOT TOO LONG
2. Keep hair long enough for the wax to grip it. When the hair is too short, the wax can't pick it up well enough to remove it; when it's too long, it prevents wax from adhering and causes more pain.
LIGHT EXFOLIATION
3. Gently exfoliate your skin a day or two before waxing. Avoid harsh exfoliants. Exfoliation helps wax grab hair and not skin, but it can also leave skin more sensitive to pain, so lighter is better.
TAKE A RETIN-A BREAK
4. Certain medications can sensitize skin to waxing. Retin-A creams do amazing things for fine lines, acne and uneven pigmentation, but they also leave skin susceptible to injury during waxing. Discontinue retinol-based products for two weeks before waxing. Accutane users should stop taking their medication for a month before waxing. Before making any changes to your prescription medications, talk to your dermatologist.
After Your Wax Appointment
Wax Aftercare
1. Refrain from squeezing the pimples. This can lead to infection.
2. Apply hydrocortisone cream to help relieve any swelling and itching that may occur.
3. Avoid steam treatment, hot baths, or saunas for at least 24 hrs.
4. Use ice and aloe vera soothing gel to reduce redness.
5. Avoid sun exposure and sweating for at least 2 hours after.
6. No make-up or perfumed products for 4 hours after.
7. Don't tweeze or shave between appointments.
